SocialShield is the leading cloud-based social network monitoring service.SocialShield gives parents affordable, easy-to-use, state-of-the-art tools to help them enhance Internet safety for their children in the online environment. It scans, analyzes and reports what parents can’t see in their child’s social network. The patent-pending technology alerts parents of questionable activity on their child’s social network accounts so they can feel comfortable about who their children interact with online, what photos and conversations are being posted, and where their children have profiles. Parents want to help their children learn how to safely and smartly use social media and avoid the looming dangers like contact from strangers, cyberbullying, revealing personal information and careless, potentially reputation-damaging activities.
SocialShield operates primarily as an "exception reporting" technology, so children can still use these networks with a feeling of privacy and independence.
Smart Technology
Unlike traditional parental control software, SocialShield’s patent-pending technology can track all social networking activity regardless of what computer or phone your child uses. Our cloud based software can be accessed from anywhere with internet access, it is available 24/7 and unlike traditional software you will have the benefit of always using the latest version of the software (no installation needed).
Many parents believe that being their child’s friend , housing the computer in a central location, or logging into their kids account are sufficient protection. Nothing could be farther from the truth. For one thing, many potentially dangerous and/or inappropriate postings originate from other user accounts, not your child’s. Second, most of the concerning activity takes place behind the wall and is not visible unless the child shows the parent. SocialShield’s technology analyzes all activity 24/7 and alerts parents to relevant, suspicious posts, pictures, etc so they can determine if the activity needs to be addressed with their child. The actionable reporting and information SocialShield provides empowers parents to parent how they deem best for their family on the Social Web.
